Product Description

IPX7 DSC and ATIS Radio System IC-M423GE  VHF FM Marine Radio with GPS
Ipx7 DSC and Atis Radio System IC-M423ge VHF FM Marine Radio with GPS
Product Description

FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS:

The IC-M423GE from ICOM is equipped with an integrated GPS receiver, an easy to read display with white LCD background, a laser-cut keys and a handheld microphone. This model also includes the basic features such as active noise canceller, DSC function and the optional 2nd communication terminal via COMMANDMIC. Delivery includes external GPS antenna.

Intuitive user interface, display and white illuminated buttons
ICOM's handy user interface is used in a lot of marine devices and offers very intuitive operation. A turning knob and four navigational keys offer fast and easy access to the desired functions. The contrasting white background LC-display and precise keys match the design perfectly.

Active Noise-Canceller
The integrated noise-cancelling technology works while sending and receiving and can reduce background noise by up to 90%. This increases audibility - hear better and be heard better.

Integrated GPS receiver
The integrated GPS receiver shows the latest position as well as the time and can be used to make DSC calls.

Class D-DSC integrated
The integrated DSC surveillance function monitors the activity on channel 70 (DSC-channel), also during the reception on another channel. The DSC functions include: distress signal, individual and group calls, calls to other ships, request for position/calls for information, polling request and DSC test calls.

Optional COMMANDMIC™ HM195GB
With the optional COMMANDMIC™ HM-195GB you can operate the IC-M423GE remotely and use all its functions. Additionally, both devices are useable as an Intercom. Matching the IC-M423GE, the HM-195GB has the same white background lighting of the display and the keys.

10 W NF-performance, megaphone function and fog horn
The IC-M423GE has a 10-W-NF-amplifier that amplifies the NF-signals over additional external speakers. With the megafon function it is possible to make clear announcements to the deck personnel and other boats. The fog horn can also be used via external speakers.

Standard NMEA-Interface
When an external GPS receiver is connected, the latest position and time are displayed on the IC-M423GE. Position data from other ships are being transmitted over the NMEA0183 connection of the IC-M423GE to external navigation devices.

Call AIS targets with MA-510TR
If an optional Class-B-AIS transponder MA-510TR is connected, individual DSC calls can be made to AIS targets, without having to enter the MMSI code before.

Additional Features
  • AquaQuake™-Draining-Function
  • Waterproof according to IPX7 (30 minutes in 1 m depth)
  • Two and three channel watch for simultaneously monitoring channel 16 and/or calling channel

Delivery includes the handheld microphone, installation accessories for mounting on or under, a DC cable and a microphone mounting bracket.

Note
The DSC or ATIS function/menu is only available in the respective channel group. Please change to the corresponding channel group to use the respective functions.

Programming notes:

You may program MMSI and ATIS numbers yourself. If you would like to use the ATIS function, please let us know with your order, since we have to unlock the device accordingly.

If MMSI and ATIS numbers or additional channels (e.g.. dutch channels 30, 31 and 37) are to be programmed by our staff, we charge a programming fee. Please provide us with all necessary information when ordering.
